We are all concerned at this time with regards to what we can and can’t do in order to stay safe. Above all, common sense needs to take first place, however here are a few other things we will be putting in place during the Burn Series Adventure Race on October 10 for both the Burn & Mini Burn races.
Minimise touchpoints. Essentially we won’t be handing things to you anymore. Things such as race numbers, timing chips, medals etc will be placed out for you to collect. We will be encouraging you not to touch the timing controls with your hands and only place the dibber into them. They will be positioned in a way that makes this easy to do. A marshall will be going around the course wiping the controls throughout the day.
Social Distancing. We will have extra space in the bike transition for bikes to stored at a safe distance from each other. In the marquees, we will be allowing a limited number of people in at any one time. We will have extra marquees with good ventilation in the case of bad weather.
There will be wipes and hand sanitisers available across the event centre
We will clean all paddles and buoyancy aids with an antibacterial spray or wipe before every competitor.
