Due to Storm Callum joining us on Saturday the management at Margam Park have kindly agreed for us to move our event centre into the Castle at Margam Park for this weekends Burn Series Adventure Race & 10K.
You will see on the competitors information that the event centre was previously next to the lake where it has been every year but you will now need to COME TO THE CASTLE to register. The Start & Finish will also be from here.
Directions: Once you have walked up the hill on the road and the castle is on your left you need to walk around to the back of the castle where you will see the start/finish and the the bike transition area. Once you get there, please follow the signs through the main entrance straight ahead into the event centre room.
We will have access to this all day so that you can leave kit there in the dry and if need be come in during your transition for a dry off!
The weather is certainly not looking too kind to us so I must stress the important of coming prepared with full wet weather gear, warm clothing and a change of clothing for after the event.
Catering will be provided at the back of the castle and toilets are in the courtyard. Massage and first aid will also be inside the castle.
With regards to the route, this has not changed too much only the start and finish location. You will receive a full briefing on the morning of the race.
If you are very wet and muddy after the race we do ask that you remove your shoes prior to entering the event centre room as it is carpeted and we don’t want to leave too much mess!
